What’s next for The SEA Project?
Museum of Zanzibari and Swahili Heritage
In the 2.5 acre plot to the left, The SEA Project plans to construct a world-class museum showcasing Zanzibar’s and the Swahili coast’s rich cultural and historic heritage. Locally managed, this facility will serve as a research workspace, educational center, and economic force - all while preserving valuable cultural material.
Field School
The SEA Project plans to run annual archaeological and ethnographic field schools in collaboration with institutions of higher learning both from Tanzania and across the world
